Peru: Business confidence falls to over two-year low in July
The business confidence indicator fell to 49.0 points in July from 49.8 points in June, the lowest print in 28 months. Thus, the indicator moved further below the 50-point threshold that separates pessimism from optimism.
July’s decline reflected reduced optimism in the current business environment, as well as weaker expectations in the sector and a softer demand outlook for the next 3 months. In contrast, overall perception of new orders improved form a month prior.
