Luxembourg: Unemployment rate stable in April
In April, the number of unemployed workers stood at 15,453, down 1.4% from March’s result. In turn, the seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate remained stable at 5.4% in April compared to the previous month. According to the Agency for Employment Development (ADEM), the rise in unemployment since the start of the year largely reflects new registrations in the social inclusion income program following the introduction of a new law. Meanwhile, April’s unemployment rate was below that of the same month last year (April 2018: 5.6%).
