Lithuania: Inflation rises in June
Consumer prices rose 0.51% from the last month in June, contrasting the 0.48% drop logged in May. June’s result was the sharpest increase in prices since September 2019. Looking at the details of the release, housing and utilities prices fell at a more moderate pace in June compared to the previous month, while prices pressures for transportation picked up pace.
Inflation increased to 1.0% in June, above May’s 0.3%. Annual average inflation fell to 2.0% in June (May: 2.1%). Lastly, harmonized inflation rose to 0.9% from May’s 0.2%.
