Lithuania: Economic sentiment rises in May
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 102.9 in May, following April’s 102.7. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In May, sentiment improved in the services sector (+10.1 vs +4.9 in April) and among consumers (-1.7 vs -3.1 in April). In contrast, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-7.0 vs -5.0 in April), the construction sector (-8.6 vs -5.6 in April) and the retail sector (+6.7 vs +7.5 in April).
