Latvia: Industrial production falls in July
Latest reading: Industrial production fell 0.1% on a calendar-adjusted year-on-year basis in July, following a 0.5% rise in the prior month. July’s reading was the weakest since March 2025.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, readings in July worsened for mining and quarrying (+12.4% in annual terms vs +13.7% in June) and electricity and gas supply (-35.6% vs -29.9% in June). In contrast, the reading for manufacturing improved in July (+8.2% vs +5.0% in June).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production increased 0.1% in July, following a 0.9% fall in the previous month.
