Latvia: Economic sentiment falls in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment went down to 96.5 in June, following May’s 97.3. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy and the lowest since July 2024.
In June, sentiment darkened in the retail sector (+0.2 vs +2.7 in May) and among consumers (-19.0 vs -15.8 in May). However, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (-4.1 vs -4.4 in May), the construction sector (-7.7 vs -8.2 in May) and the services sector (+2.0 vs +1.7 in May).
