Korea: Business confidence among manufacturing firms deteriorates in April
Business confidence among manufacturing firms came in at 85.0 in April, down from March’s 93.0. April’s result marked the weakest sentiment since March 2021. As a result, the index moved further below the 100-point threshold, indicating increased pessimism among businesses.
Business confidence decreased especially starkly among export-orientated firms, likely due to the weakening global economic momentum caused by the fallout from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
