Japan: Industrial output dips in November
Industrial output fell 0.9% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in November, which contrasted October’s 1.3% increase. November’s notable weakening was partly due to a deterioration in manufacturing output. In contrast, mining output rebounded.
On an annual basis, factory output dropped 1.4% in November, which was significantly below October’s 1.1% expansion. Meanwhile, annual average of industrial production was stable at October’s 1.2% in November.
