Israel: Economic activity loses momentum in July
Latest reading: The monthly index of economic activity increased 0.5% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in July, following a 2.7% rise in the previous month. The latest month’s reading is the average growth estimate from the previous three months.
The index was positively affected by data on actual employment, employee positions and job vacancies, as well as by net VAT and income tax receipts. Actual GDP figures for the second quarter also contributed positively to the index. In contrast, credit card purchases, industrial production, goods exports and manufacturing exports had a negative impact.
