Hungary: Economic sentiment rises in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 101.0 in June, following May’s 99.4. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy and the highest since June 2024.
In June, sentiment improved in the services sector (-8.3 vs -12.8 in May), the retail sector (-9.5 vs -10.7 in May) and among consumers (-1.0 vs -2.0 in May). However, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-8.3 vs -8.0 in May) and the construction sector (-22.2 vs -21.1 in May).
