Greece: Industrial production shrinks in June
Latest reading: Industrial production fell 0.4% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in June, following a 1.8% rise in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, readings in June worsened for manufacturing (+0.8% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs +1.4% in May) and electricity supply (-4.3% vs +10.0% in May). In contrast, readings picked up for water supply (+0.1% vs -0.4% in May) and mining and quarrying (+1.9% vs +0.4% in May).
On a working-day adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production was up 1.1% in June, following a 3.7% rise in the previous month.
