Greece: Industrial production shrinks in April
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 3.5% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in April, following 1.4% growth in the prior month. April’s reading was the weakest since August 2025.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings in April worsened for manufacturing (-1.8% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs +1.0% in March), electricity supply (-18.4% vs +7.2% in March), water supply (-2.0% vs +0.6% in March) and mining and quarrying (-0.5% vs +2.8% in March).
In working-day adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production was up 2.1% in April, following 8.2% growth in the prior month.
