France: Harmonized inflation hits over one-year high in April
Consumer prices increased 0.10% in April over the previous month, slowing down from the 0.60% increase recorded in March. Looking at the details of the release, prices for manufactured products as well as for energy fell in April.
Inflation came in at 1.2% in April, up from March’s 1.1%, marking the highest reading since February last year. Meanwhile, harmonized inflation rose to 1.6% in April from March’s 1.4%, which represented an over one-year high. Lastly, annual average harmonized inflation rose to 0.5% in April (March: 0.4%).
