Finland: Inflation eases in September
Month-on-month consumer price growth was flat in September, down from 0.4% in August. Overall, prices were supported by more expensive clothing and footwear, but weighed on by a sharp fall in food and non-alcoholic beverage prices.
The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP)—which does not include certain factors such as the vehicle tax or fishing and hunting fees—was also flat month-on-month in September, down from 0.4% growth in August.
CPI inflation decelerated to 0.9% in September from 1.1% in August, while HICP inflation ticked down to 1.0% from 1.2%.
