Euro Area: Unemployment rate remains stable in June
Latest reading: In June, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at March’s 6.3%, coming in slightly above market expectations and remaining close to historical lows.
Among the eurozone’s largest economies, unemployment was stable in France, while it declined in the Netherlands and Spain and increased in Germany and Italy.
Significant disparities in labor market conditions between members persist: Finland was the economy with the highest unemployment rate in June (10.3%), followed by Spain (10.1%). At the other end of the spectrum, Bulgaria (3.0%) and Cyprus (3.0%) had the lowest unemployment rates.
