Denmark: Manufacturing production falls at a faster clip in May
Latest reading: Manufacturing production fell 3.9% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in May, following a 1.0% drop in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, readings in May softened for non-durable consumer goods (-4.2% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs -1.2% in April) and investment goods (-8.4% vs +1.1% in April). In contrast, the reading for intermediate goods improved in May (+0.2% vs -1.2% in April).
On a seasonally adjusted year-on-year basis, manufacturing production was up 6.4% in May, following a 13.1% increase in the prior month.
