Denmark: Economic sentiment falls in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment declined to 88.1 in June, following May’s 89.2. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy and the lowest since April 2023.
In June, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-17.1 vs -14.4 in May), the construction sector (-8.7 vs -8.5 in May) and the services sector (+5.1 vs +7.5 in May). In contrast, sentiment turned more upbeat in among consumers (-12.0 vs -15.5 in May). Sentiment in the retail sector was unchanged from the prior month at +6.6.
