Czech Republic: Economic sentiment drops in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment dropped to 101.5 in June, following May’s 102.5. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In June, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-4.2 vs -1.5 in May), the construction sector (-6.5 vs -2.0 in May) and the services sector (+33.1 vs +33.4 in May). In contrast, sentiment turned more upbeat in the retail sector (+15.2 vs +12.0 in May) and among consumers (-4.3 vs -7.6 in May).
