Cyprus: Economic sentiment rises in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment increased to 102.3 in June, following May’s 101.4. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In June, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (-4.2 vs -4.5 in May), the construction sector (+7.7 vs +1.3 in May), the retail sector (-4.9 vs -9.3 in May) and among consumers (-18.4 vs -20.3 in May). On the flipside, sentiment worsened in the services sector (+5.0 vs +7.1 in May).
