Cyprus: Economic sentiment rises in August
Latest reading: Economic sentiment increased to 103.1 in August, following July’s 101.7. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In August, sentiment brightened in the industrial sector (-4.4 vs -6.1 in July), the services sector (+11.0 vs +8.6 in July), the retail sector (-1.8 vs -2.3 in July) and among consumers (-15.5 vs -19.9 in July). However, sentiment darkened in the construction sector (+5.6 vs +6.7 in July).
