Croatia: Economic sentiment worsens in May
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 103.3 in May, following April’s 103.8. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy and the lowest since July 2025.
In May, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (+1.5 vs +5.4 in April), the construction sector (+7.0 vs +11.2 in April), the services sector (+8.4 vs +10.7 in April) and the retail sector (-2.3 vs -1.9 in April). In contrast, sentiment brightened in among consumers (-11.0 vs -15.7 in April).
