Chile: Economic activity slows in June
In June, the IMACEC economic activity index rose 1.3% year-on-year, decelerating from May’s 2.3% result.
The print chiefly reflected lackluster activity in the non-mining economy, which slowed to 1.4% in June from 2.8% a month prior. In contrast, activity in the mining economy rebounded by 0.3%, after falling 2.3% in May.
In seasonally-adjusted terms, economic activity saw no growth over the previous month in June, following a 0.2% month-on-month increase the previous month.
