Chile: Economic activity growth gains steam in November
Economic activity rose 1.2% year on year in November (October: +0.3% yoy). The improvement was largely due to a notable rebound in the mining sector. In contrast, the non-mining sector lost steam.
On a monthly basis, economic activity rose 0.3% in seasonally adjusted terms in November, which was better than October’s flat reading. Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of economic activity coming in at minus 0.3% in November, up from October’s minus 0.7%.
