Denmark: Manufacturing activity expands at quickest pace in nearly a year in November
Manufacturing production expanded 9.9% month-on-month in seasonally adjusted terms in November (October: +1.7% mom). November’s print marked the best reading since December 2022. Looking at the details of the release, November’s notable upturn was primarily due to an improvement in non-durable consumer goods. Additionally, intermediate goods output fell at a slower pace compared to the prior month.
On a seasonally adjusted annual basis, manufacturing production rose at a faster rate of 16.3% in November (October: +8.1% yoy), the best result since February. Moreover, the trend improved, with the annual average growth of manufacturing production coming in at 11.9% in November, up from October’s 11.5%.
