Chile: Business confidence falls in July
Latest reading: Business confidence index went down to 43.6 in July, following June’s 46.0. The latest reading was below the threshold of 50 that separates optimistic from pessimistic sentiment and the lowest since December 2024.
In July, businesses grew less upbeat about the retail sector (+50.9 vs +51.3 in June), the construction sector (+33.0 vs +34.5 in June) and the mining sector (+41.7 vs +52.5 in June). However, businesses grew more optimistic about the industrial sector (+44.9 vs +44.7 in June).
