Bulgaria: Economic sentiment improves in August
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 96.8 in August, following July’s 94.7. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In August, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (-4.0 vs -4.2 in July), the services sector (+7.1 vs +2.1 in July), the retail sector (+12.4 vs +11.8 in July) and among consumers (-25.3 vs -25.9 in July). However, sentiment darkened in the construction sector (-8.3 vs -6.8 in July).
