Brazil: Merchandise trade surplus narrows in July
Latest reading: In July, the trade balance was USD +7.1 billion, following a USD +9.4 billion reading in the previous month. Over the last 12 months, the trade balance summed to USD +79.9 billion.
Merchandise exports increased 6.2% in year-on-year terms in July, following 23.7% growth in the previous month. Goods imports increased 7.6% in annual terms in July, coming on the back of a 14.4% increase in the prior month.
