Brazil: Economic activity hits four-month high in September
Economic activity rose 0.4% in seasonally-adjusted month-on-month terms, according to the Central Bank’s monthly indicator for economic activity. The result was above August’s revised 0.2% increase (previously reported: +0.1% month-on-month) and marked the best reading since May.
On an annual basis, economic activity jumped 2.1% in September, contrasting August’s 0.7% decrease. Meanwhile, annual average growth in economic activity edged up from 0.9% in August to 1.0% in September.
