Brazil: Business confidence improves in June
Latest reading: The seasonally adjusted industrial business confidence index published by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (Fundação Getúlio Vargas) increased to 100.1 in June, following May’s 97.1. The latest reading was above the threshold of 100 that separates optimistic from pessimistic sentiment and the highest since October 2024.
In June, businesses grew more upbeat about expectations for the coming months (+98.3 vs +95.6 in May) and the current situation (+102.1 vs +98.7 in May).
