Belarus: Industrial production shrinks more slowly in June
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 0.7% in annual terms in June, following a 1.4% drop in the prior month. June’s reading was the strongest since July 2025.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in June improved for manufacturing (-2.1% on a year-on-year basis vs -3.2% in May), mining and quarrying (+2.6% vs +2.5% in May) and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (+1.4% vs +1.1% in May). In contrast, the reading for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply worsened in June (+7.9% vs +8.2% in May).
