Angola: Inflation increases to over one-year high in November
Inflation came in at 18.2% in November, up from October’s 16.6%. November’s reading marked the highest inflation rate since August 2022. Inflation has been increasing since Q2 2023 due to a weaker kwanza in year on year terms and the removal of fuel subsidies in early June.
The trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 13.1% in November (October: 12.8%).
Lastly, consumer prices rose 2.21% in November over the previous month, picking up from the 2.15% rise recorded in October. November’s figure marked the highest reading since September 2018.
