Inflation in Serbia
March inflation comes in at highest level since our records began
Inflation came in at 16.2% in March, which was up from February’s 16.1%. March’s result marked the highest inflation rate since our current records began. Faster price rises for clothing and food were behind the reading.
Annual average inflation rose to 13.8% in March (February: 13.2%). Meanwhile, harmonized inflation ticked up to 15.5% in March, from the previous month’s 15.4%.
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.86% in March over the previous month, moderating from the 1.38% increase seen in February.
