Exchange Rate in Hungary
Inflation decreased to 25.2% in March from February’s 25.4% amid softer price increases for food and energy. It therefore moved slightly closer to the Central Bank’s 2.0–4.0% target range. Going ahead, inflation should moderate further. Nonetheless, it will remain elevated by historical standards due to strong wage growth and continued pass-through effects.
