Vietnam: Industrial production loses momentum in August
Latest reading: Industrial production was up 14.4% in annual terms in August, following a 14.5% increase in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in August softened for manufacturing (+14.6% in annual terms vs +15.0% in July), electricity (+11.8% vs +12.5% in July) and water supply (+9.5% vs +14.9% in July). In contrast, the reading for mining and quarrying improved in August (+18.5% vs +10.4% in July).
