Vietnam: Industrial production gains steam in July
Latest reading: Industrial production was up 14.5% on a year-on-year basis in July, following a 12.7% rise in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in July improved for manufacturing (+15.0% in annual terms vs +12.6% in June), mining and quarrying (+10.4% vs +8.8% in June) and water supply (+14.9% vs +8.7% in June). In contrast, the reading for electricity softened in July (+12.5% vs +16.6% in June).
