Uruguay: Manufacturing production slows in April
Latest reading: Manufacturing production rose 4.0% on a year-on-year basis in April, following a 9.4% increase in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings in April worsened for food (+1.7% on a year-on-year basis vs +13.2% in March) and chemical substances and products (-4.2% vs +28.0% in March). In contrast, readings improved for paper (+2.5% vs -2.3% in March) and beverages (+16.0% vs -10.5% in March).
