United States: Consumer confidence increases slightly in March

Consumer confidence rose to 107.2 in March from 105.7 in February. Consequently, the index remained above the 100-threshold, separating optimism from pessimism among consumers.

The increase came on the back of improved views of their current situation relative to the previous month, but views concerning consumers’ future financial situation grew more pessimistic in March.
