United States: Consumer confidence decreases slightly in February

Consumer confidence fell to 110.5 in February from 111.1 in January. Nevertheless, the index remained above the 100-threshold, separating optimism from pessimism among consumers.

The decrease came on the back of increased pessimism in consumers’ assessments of the future economic situation, while views of their current situation improved in February.
