Ukraine: Industrial output records quickest growth since June 2020 in April
Industrial output grew 13.0% in year-on-year terms in April, which followed March’s 2.1% increase. April’s reading marked the best result since June 2020. April’s figure was largely driven by an improvement in manufacturing output. In addition, mining and quarrying output rebounded.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, factory output grew 2.7% in April, quickening from March’s 1.8% increase and marking the best result in 10 months. Similarly, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at an over one-year high of minus 1.6% in April, up from March’s minus 4.0%.
