Ukraine: Industrial output growth loses steam July
Industrial output grew 0.2% compared to the same month of the previous year in July, moderating from June’s 1.1% increase. Looking at the details of the release, the result was mainly driven by manufacturing output swinging into contraction in July. In contrast, both mining and quarrying, and energy output gained steam.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, factory output rose 1.3% in July, contrasting June’s 0.6% drop. Meanwhile, the trend improved slightly, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at plus 0.6% in July, up from June’s 0.4%.
