Turkey: Economic sentiment rises in July
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 99.3 in July, following June’s 98.4. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In July, sentiment improved in the construction sector (-16.1 vs -17.2 in June), the services sector (+21.2 vs +19.6 in June) and among consumers (-10.6 vs -12.5 in June). However, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-1.3 vs -0.2 in June) and the retail sector (+12.3 vs +13.4 in June).
