Turkey: Economic sentiment increases in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 98.1 in June, following May’s 96.4. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In June, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (-0.2 vs -1.9 in May), the retail sector (+13.5 vs +13.3 in May) and among consumers (-12.5 vs -14.6 in May). On the flipside, sentiment worsened in the construction sector (-17.1 vs -16.9 in May) and the services sector (+19.0 vs +19.1 in May).
