Turkey: Consumer sentiment rises in July
Consumer sentiment rose to 68.0 in July from 63.4 in June. However, the index remained entrenched below the neutral 100-threshold that separates pessimism from optimism among Turkish consumers.
The headline improvement came on the back of less downbeat views on households’ financial situation at present and over the next year. Simultaneously, attitudes towards the general economic climate in the next 12 months and consumers’ propensity to buy improved.
