Turkey: Consumer confidence improves but remains pessimistic in February
Consumer confidence came in at 82.5 in February, up from January’s 79.1. February’s result marked the best reading since March 2021. Despite the uptick, the index remained entrenched below the 100-threshold, separating pessimism from optimism among consumers.
The increase came on the back of a broad-based improvement across all subcomponents. Specifically, consumers’ views of their current financial situation improved significantly.
