Turkey: Business confidence decreases but remains in negative territory in June
Business confidence fell to 108.2 in June from May’s 108.3. Despite the downtick, the index remained above the 100-threshold, separating optimism from pessimism among businesses.
June’s slight decline was driven by less optimistic views regarding output levels and foreign demand in the next three months, as well as for fixed investment in the year ahead. That said, firms became less pessimistic about the general business situation and anticipate higher levels of employment in the next three months.
