Thailand: Manufacturing activity growth eases in June
Latest reading: Manufacturing output grew 0.6% year on year in June (May: +1.9% yoy). Food products output swung to contraction in June, while output of refined petroleum products plus automotive vehicles grew at a quicker pace.
On a monthly basis, manufacturing output fell 1.7% in seasonally adjusted terms in June, which was below May’s 0.2% fall and marked the worst result since November 2024. Meanwhile, the trend improved slightly, with the annual average variation of manufacturing production coming in at minus 0.7% in June, up from May’s minus 0.8%.
