Taiwan: Industrial output growth gains steam in January
Industrial production expanded 10.0% year-on-year in January (December: +8.7% yoy). The upturn was primarily driven by an improvement in manufacturing and water supply production.
On a monthly basis, factory output grew 3.4% in seasonally-adjusted terms in January, notably above December’s 0.1% expansion and marking the best result since February 2021. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 12.6% in January (December: +13.4%).
