Sweden: Economic sentiment records weakest reading since January in September
Economic sentiment fell to 82.9 in September from August’s 83.3. September’s result marked the weakest sentiment since January. As a result, the index remained entrenched below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected deteriorating sentiment in the retail and construction sectors and weakening consumer sentiment. More positively, sentiment in the industrial and services sectors improved and became optimistic.
