Spain: Industrial output grows at fastest pace in one year in June
Industrial output rose 7.0% year on year in seasonally- and calendar-adjusted terms in June (May: +4.5%). The print marked the best result since June 2021. Looking at the details of the release, consumer goods production weakened in June, while capital goods output gained momentum.
On a monthly basis, industrial production rose 1.1% in seasonally-adjusted terms in June, which was better than May’s 0.1% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at an over one-year low of 2.4%, down from May’s 2.7%.
