Spain: Economic sentiment eases in March
Economic sentiment came in at 102.0 in March, down from February’s 102.4. As a result, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected healthier sentiment in the construction and services sectors. Moreover, consumer confidence rose in March. However, sentiment in the industrial andretail sectors weakened.
Referring to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations weakened, while the economic uncertainty index fell in March.
